The sky gets going about ten.

Astronomical dark starts at half past nine in March and half past eleven in June. The deck light is on a timer so it never spoils your eyes.

A twelve inch reflector, already collimated.

It lives in the shed and rolls out on rails. We set it up at dusk and show you how to find three things before we go.

Cloud happens.

If the forecast closes in we move your night to the next clear one in the season, or refund it. That is the whole policy.

Two rooms, a stove, a kettle.

Breakfast is in the fridge. The nearest pub is four miles down the track and the track is not lit.

Nights, and what they cost.

How a night runs.

ArriveAny time after four. The key is in the box by the door and the stove is already laid.
DuskWe roll the telescope out, align it, and leave you a chart of what is up that week.
DarkThe band is clearest between eleven and three. There is a flask and two folding chairs in the porch.
MorningLeave by ten. Nobody else is booked in that day, so there is no rush about it.
