What you get

Wax, a wick and nothing else.

Poured at seventy degrees into a steel mould, left overnight, then turned out and trimmed by hand.

What it is made of

What burns, and what carries it.

Nothing is added to make it burn longer or smell of anything it is not.

BeeswaxCappings, rendered and filtered. Sets pale gold and darkens with age.
Linen sleeveThe wrap. Undyed, and worth keeping for the next one.
Cotton wickBraided, unbleached, sized to the diameter of the pillar.
Pine crateFor the six pack. Sawn, stamped and reusable.

How to burn it.

TrimFive millimetres of wick before every burn, or it smokes and the flame leans.
First burnTwo hours at least, so the pool reaches the edge and stays there for good.
DraughtKeep it out of one. A leaning flame burns through the wall and the wax runs.
EndStop at fifteen millimetres. The last of the wax lifts out and goes in the next pour.
